Where Ritual Finds Its Place

“Ritual doesn’t need to announce itself. It simply needs the right setting.”

— Karen, Founder of Rienne.

Some spaces don’t ask to be reimagined. They simply ask to be listened to.

Located in Fort Lauderdale, The Fort has become a natural setting for modern zero-proof ritual and intentional social gathering.

Defined by movement and energy, it lives in motion. People arrive between moments—before work, after school, between matches. Conversations unfold not in spectacle, but in rhythm. One match. One pause. One table at a time.

This winter, Rienne found its way there.

Not through a pitch.
Not through a trend forecast.
But through alignment.

Ritual today looks different than it once did. It’s quieter. More intentional. Rooted in presence rather than excess. And when we consider how people gather now—how they move, pause, connect—it becomes clear that what matters most isn’t substitution. It’s coherence.

Together with the Florida Room, The Fort’s on-premise restaurant led by a James Beard Award–winning team, we approached the beverage program the same way one approaches a well-set table: thoughtfully, collaboratively, and with respect for what already exists.

The question was never what should we replace? It was what belongs here?

Sparkling teas were chosen for clarity and lift—refreshing without interruption, able to hold space for conversation.

Botanical elixirs were selected for depth and balance, grounding the experience while remaining expressive.

Zero-proof wines found their place at the table not as stand-ins, but as complete expressions—capable of pairing, pausing, and participating fully in the moment.

Nothing was added for effect.
Nothing was there to convince.

Because the most compelling experiences don’t announce themselves. They reveal themselves slowly, through ease.

This wasn’t about offering alternatives.
It was about honoring how people gather now.

When zero-proof is allowed to exist naturally—without justification or apology—it integrates seamlessly. It becomes part of the rhythm rather than a disruption of it.

At Rienne, we don’t think of culture as something to promote.

We think of it as something to participate in.

This winter, ritual found its place at The Fort.

And this is only the beginning.
