Volante Rum
The Caribbean, remembered.
We chose Volante because we wanted one hand to hold the entire spirit shelf — and found it in a country that has distilled for centuries. Four classics, remembered without the alcohol, each built for the ritual it came from. The Caribbean Molasses Blend is the dark one.
Its foundation is true sugarcane molasses over oak — the structure and depth of a barrel-aged rum, built rather than borrowed. Raisins, cocoa and vanilla rise first; coconut and dried pineapple run quietly beneath; and where the proof would be, a gently spiced warmth arrives instead. Every note of sweetness is the molasses' own — nothing added, nothing artificial.
Dark and warm — the island memory, kept for the classics that ask for it.
We do not score. We read. The Reading is how the house locates this bottle — four axes, written on the four petals of the mark.

One to four petals, quiet to pronounced. A Reading is a location, not a grade.
Poured in — the Savage Lowball, neat over one large rock. A finished pour that reads full.
Serve — slowly, or into the dark classics: the composed Daiquiri, the Rum Old Fashioned. Once open, it keeps four weeks — pour accordingly.
