Objects of Ritual

The glass, the stopper, the case. What the ritual is held in. Chosen the way the house chooses everything — slowly, and only when it felt right.

Fieldbar — Cape Town.

Made to be kept. Made to be used. Made to move with you.

The cooler, made an object worth keeping: handcrafted in Cape Town, built to last a lifetime and beautiful enough to want for one. It carries the pour to the terrace, the water's edge, the table that runs long into the evening. Three pieces, chosen slowly.

On keeping these objects.

Made by hand. Every piece in this collection is finished by hand, so no two are identical. Small paint variations are part of that making — not flaws, but evidence of a human hand.

Ageing. These objects are meant to be used, and use leaves its marks. Leather softens and weathers, brass-toned hardware takes on a quiet patina, and cabinets earn the occasional scratch over the years. None of this is wear to be hidden. It's the sign of an object that's lived alongside you — and the reason it was built to last.

Care. Wipe interiors clean and let them dry fully before storing. Keep them from prolonged direct heat. Treat leather as you would any fine leather — occasional conditioning keeps it supple. Stored with care between seasons, each is ready whenever you are.

Warranty. Every FIELDBAR object carries a five-year warranty through the maker. To activate it, register your piece with FIELDBAR's Owners Club. [Register your object →]
