Woody's Duet — Blanc de Blancs and Sparkling Rosé
Two bottles, one farm — the toast and the brightness, side by side.
A third-generation farmer asked what zero-proof wine would be if it weren’t an afterthought. Woody’s is farmed like wine because it is wine — its alcohol drawn away under vacuum, nothing else touched.
The Duet is the whole range in one box. The Blanc de Blancs is the toast — green apple and Meyer lemon ripening into peach, a fine quick bead, a clean, dry close. The Sparkling Rosé is the brightness — fresh berry over a dry, quick middle, its color and its nerve left exactly where the farming put them. One reads citrus and clean; the other, bright and dry. Same soil, two moods.
We paired them because an evening has two jobs: the pour that opens it and the pour that keeps it going. This box does both — the toast first, the brightness after, and Mendocino in every glass.
In the pair — Woody’s Blanc de Blancs, 187ml · Woody’s Sparkling Rosé, 187ml. Each bottle carries its full Reading on its own page.
Read in — the handblown Stem Zero Champagne. The tall bowl holds the bead in view, and the crystal holds nothing back.
Serve — 42–46°F, well chilled. Open the Blanc de Blancs first; the Rosé is patient.
